Tel Aviv is a vast and beautiful beach city in the middle east. It's filled with cyclists that ride all over the place, on the street, sidewalk or pretty much anywhere possible. There's basically nobody that helps push forward the efforts of making it a safer place for cyclists.
As a cyclist myself, I pushed to start a bike coalition for Tel Aviv and get people organized to start creating bike lanes within the city as well as help push forward laws that keep people safe from the crazy drivers. I ended up moving from Israel to San Francisco so I passed on all of my content, contacts and information over to a fixed gear cycle shop in the city.
Sadly, since i've been gone nothing has happened with it.
I hope to one day return and start moving this forward so that we don't see people getting hit by cars because of the unpredictable drivers and traffic in Israel.
